Almost all the critics have given it one n a half star but trust me the movie isn't THAT bad.
Like a typical Madhur Bhandarkar film it touches upon only the negative aspects of the topic - in this case bollywood and actors. The star cast is really good with randeep hooda, harsh chhaya, divya dutta, ranveer shoury and more .. However some of the actors are plain horribel! But since they have a small role it doesn't really matter. Then there are some characters which one can related to and easily understand who they represent in real life . A parody like role of Shah Rukh Khan , Yuvraj Singh etc.
To anyone who has seen Madhur Bhandarkar movies or anyone else in general the movie is downright predictable. A plain story about a well to do actress and how she screws up her life and in the end finds refuge in leaving it all.
But i must add that Madhur took the whole subject too lightly . Since he thought the movie relates to Bollywood and he being a part of it could easily portray it . There seems a lack of research and trust me its very unlike his other movies . The magic created by chameli, Chandini Bar , Fashion just could not happen here !
Then what is it that makes me say it's not as bad?? Hmmm.. Well Kareena Kapoor's acting ! She is WOW! Infact you should watch the movie just to see her ! Best acting by an actor(female) till now.
Thought of merging Oh My God's review too but maybe later . Right now cannot wait for English Vinglish!!!
